The Oregon Ducks had an entire season to establish themselves, to answer that key preseason question: How do they replace Aaron Brooks?
After two exhibition games, 12 nonconference games, 18 Pacific-10 Conference games, one Pac-10 tournament game and a season-ending 76-69 loss to Mississippi State in the NCAA Tournament, they never really found an answer.
"We just couldn't find our identity," said guard Tajuan Porter, one of four returning players from last season's final-eight team. "We had spurts where we played good Oregon basketball. But it just wasn't a whole year of basketball. We didn't show people the Oregon way."
